Default "LIVE" from Summit Motorsports Park D3 LODRS

Let's get this started. Racers are stacked up in Linders lot waiting for the credentials and parking to start. I'm rolling out of the Motor City in about an hour. With the weak signal that blankets Norwalk, I'll do my best to feed this post with news and photos. And like just about every D3 and Norwalk LODRS, there is the threat of rain on Sunday. While its hot and windy today, a cold front will pass through tonite and temps look cool for Friday and Saturday.

Wish we could come. Maybe next year. Brad Z told me I need to enter the wheel stand contest. Would be a lot of fun. Good luck to everyone....

I rolled into Linders Lot at 1:00 and I'm #198 in line. This area is experiencing High winds today that made the tow a little more taxing. The D3 staff has starting selling credentials - it will be a while till my line moves. Stay tuned.

Rolling and compacting Linders Lot.

Does anyone offer CO2 refills that will be there this weekend? Or do they do it at the track? Thanks

Hats off to the staff from Summit motorsports Park for quickly processing all of the credential sales. They served 200 racers in 90 minutes and two hours after opening they had taken care of everyone. Parking also went well and it's a pleasure to park on the nicely groomed asphalt pits here at Norwalk

All of the cars that pitted today went through tech and that to move quickly and without any drama. The D3 tech crew looked like it handled quite a few chassis certifications as well.

John Dourlet made the tow from Colorado and this is the first stop of a multi race divisional and national event early summer tour. From here he heads to Maple grove, Epping, Englishtown, Bristol and Norwalk again.

Great pics and coverage...... was there several years ago and it's a great track.
I was wondering if the Wenzel 50th anniversary shirts will be available to purchase.I'd grab a couple in a heartbeat. Any info toward a purchase would be really appreciated.

Can someone tell me what the combo is that R Rinke is running in the 65 Chevelle? He had F/GTD on the window for a record run and it was listed as a 12 chevelle so I figures he had a 2012 COPO 427 engine. It is qualified and laddered as a GT/F which would make it a production motor. Says 427 on the car. Cool car for sure.
Trying to keep up with all the new classes/combos but it seems to be a loosing battle.

Also thanks for the great photos and coverage.
