'67 Camaro E/SA redo
A friend and I picked this car up a while back and we are working on it this winter with many upgrades in store. Car came to us with a Powerglide and numerous small problems...we are whittling them down one at a time.
As of this evening these are the completed items: Complete re-wire of the ignition system - New MSD distributor and coil - Altered bracketry for the Moroso water pump - New 5.14 Richmond gear - Caltrac's for the rear with Caltrac split leaf springs - New Moroso front springs - New shocks on all corners - Aerospace disc brakes front and rear and light weight master cylinder - Improved gauge package - New Champion wheels all around - (I splurged a bit here) Just about all problem areas have been addressed save one...Arnett is building us a Metric 200 atm and a ATI convertor will be added as well when it's ready. Come spring we will find out how good a motor we have in the car...can't think of anything else that would hold us back. The car is already very close to the class minimum weight for a 286/350 in E/SA.

Looking good.
Where did you purchase the wheels from? What size are the rears and backspace? Clark |

Re: '67 Camaro E/SA redo
I ordered the wheels from Champion... http://www.cwibeadlock.com/NBL%20Speed%20Series.htm
Rears are 15x10 w/5.0 backspace. Someone in the past had welded the spring perches in the wrong positions shifting everything toward the driver's side...I will have to run a 1/4" wheel spacer behind the passenger side wheel to clear the lower shock mount. We will run it this way this season and probably replace the housing next fall. Both my partner and I were so impressed with the wheels he plans on putting a set on his '66 Nova. What I really like is how Champion offers it's wheels in 1/4" increments for backspacing.

Re: '67 Camaro E/SA redo
Thanks guys - If we can make it run decently this spring I will treat it to a new paint job/interior come fall. The car was only able to muster a 7.39 with F weight when we got it...we will see what it can do with the new parts come spring.

Standby for a complete interior change. The next pictures posted will show a Black/Gold interior with re-located gauges. We are also going to go ahead and swap the current 12-bolt housing for a Mosier housing to get everything centered as it should be.

Re: '67 Camaro E/SA redo
Got the Gold paint in this afternoon...I'll give it till Sunday to dry and begin putting everything back together. Not shown is a new Gold headliner lying on top of the roof.
Reflecting on it...ordered some front door armrests last night. Weary of digging my nails in the window channel everytime I need to close the door...looks like there is plenty of room with the side bars.
