Check with Jeff Lane or Pat McCue. They are both members here. They are the people behind the eCopo Camaro that made runs at select events about a year ago, if I remember correctly.

Look at the bright side. Drag strip owners would not have to worry about noise ordinances. You could build a drag strip next to a church or an old peoples home and you could race until the wee hours of the morning. There has to be some other redeeming factors to racing electric cars but those are the only two I have thought of, so far. But I am only on my third Jim Beam on the rocks. I do some of my best thinking with Jim. More later...…..

Thank you young man! Nice to see a real gear head speak up.
Get yourself a GM- Mopar or Ford muscle car and go for it! I am in total agreement. They should have their own ( High Amperage ) Class!

I watched the test on the new cobra jet EV last night. Pretty cool and damn fast. 8.66 @ 160. But they need to have a class of there own. Not race with us. I bet you can tweek that electric stuff to run dead on every time. Ill take Race Gas and noise anyday.

Try checking out the NEDRA (National Electric Drag Racing Association) site. They have classes and rules and national records. You'd almost think they were real drag racers.

Could start the classes at AA/Shock for the big subway train motor cars down to W/Shock for the cordless drill motored cars.
