Seemed like a nice facility. Not a lot of cars overall. I think 23 total in the combo and about half were IHRA combos. People at the track were friendly. It was my first time going to music city. If you have an IHRA combo and you don’t go to all of these d2 races, then forever hold your peace.
It was hot and I didn’t have the hook figured out, but I am sure I could adjust the car more to fit the conditions. I am not a huge 1/8 mole fan either. For me, I was hunting for a grade point and I got it. I also think the effort of even trying something different to solve a problem should be commended. Is there any other division going out of their way to invite IHRA cars? I am not aware of any.

I took my grade point and went home don't plan on going back unless I got a slow car but that's not going to happen . I've got a need for speed!
Duly noted.

Track was fine for me. I said this race would be a flop when they announced it. Not a fast car friendly track (shut down), locals will not buy a number for one race, no contingencies.

I don't want to be completely negative except for the track prep everything else was ok and I'm glad Nhra is trying something out of the box there was plenty of paved parking and trees around but it was hot 4000da !

I was there with my stick car and found the track prep very good especially for a track as hot as it was. And hats off to the guy running the water box his help was great. Went 5.80s with over 80 run tires.

Big tire car , right? Ronnie Magart the Hoosier man said all the Stocker stick cars were having problems

Yes it was a 14/32 but they are M/Ts. And I didn't run the same shock and clutch setting that I would have if the track surface had been cooler.
