Nachoooooo,

1. Talk to Kevin Kleinweber at Hughes Performance. He goes by "Calvin" on here.
2. Talk to Kevin Kleinweber at Hughes Performance. It seems like the stuff to beat.
3. I can't say for certain without seeing a dyno sheet for your motor, or at least knowing the RPM at which peak power is made (and the cam that is in the car), but a 4.56 gear sounds about right for a BB. I can simulate it for you using Quarter Jr., or since you have Kevin Kleinweber on the phone, I would ask him as he should be able to give you the correct answer with the above mentioned info (and knowing what converter he is going to build for you).

Hope this helps.

You may want to start in Super Street first. A car that big does not hit a .400 tree very well. Sounds like a killer super street car.

In D1 , we dont have a .400 tree anymore at any opens or divisionals, car better hit a .370 tree or at least a .470 tree for s/st, i expect to see a lot of the heavier s/g cars coming to s/st.

thanks don, and thanks gary. i guess super street is ok at divistionals, however my son wants to run stock or super stock also with another car and our div7 director does not let sst guys run in a second class and get a grade point. seems really stupid since we are using a totally differant car. then the issue with the nationals why only a few of them a year for sst.

thanks nachoooooo

nachooo, the reason they limit S/St racers to 1 class is because a lot of the touring S/G guys were coming in and kickin everybodies butt. This was more of an issue back when S/St ran on a 0.4 tree with a 2500 lb minimum. S/St is supposed to be a "starter" class and, they are trying to keep it that way in Div 7. Not sure about other divisions. They only run it at 1 National event in each division so the guys that only race S/St have an opportunity to race a national event.
