Anyone ever play with this combo??

might be easier to change the car to an 87-93 and run the later stuff. sounds like you're doin some master plannin. hope you're doing good!

I ran that setup in my 84 Mustang as a bracket car for about 6 years.
I believe it is rated at 205 HP for stock right now.

You might be able to run it in IHRA pure stock, but I really don't think you can get it fast enough to run an EFI class right now. It needs to be rated at about 165-175 to make it competitive enough to do that.

The quickest I ever went with that combo was 13.42 and that was in killer air in November. That was also using an AOD. I put a street type C-4 in it and it didn't go any faster. I neber could find anyone to upgrade the computer for the CFI. The biggest performance gain I got was putting on an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Jacking up the fuel pressure to where it almost would not idle gave it 1.5 tenths.
