Are there any rules about the back of a car hanging off the rear of an open trailer? Say 16' (bumper to bumper) car sitting on 13' of open trailer...

Yes there are specific guidelines , that's how I tow on my open trailer . Had a guidebook from our DOT, can't find it. When I tow my fullsize wagon the rear tires are just on the ramps . ---Trevor
