Aluminum Brake Drums
Has anyone seen an advantage utilizing rear aluminum brake drums vs. OEM ?

I didn't get any noticeable e.t. out of them. A friend that worked in a muffler and brake shop for over 20 years warned me that they would crack once in a while on OEM applications. I pulled them off after two or three races to check them, and both were cracked! I "installed" them in the trash bin after that. If I recall, my pal Kevin Zaskowski put his car in the sand at Indy after one shattered. My .02.

Most of the time OEM discs will be heavier than drums but the aftermarket brakes can be lighter depending on application.
