Default Piedmont Pro Am

We will be making a decision on racing this weekend by Wednesday afternoon. Right now the weather does not look good for Sunday and Saturday has questions also. We will be letting everyone know as soon as we see some of the more updated forecast as we get closer to the weekend.

Thanks & Look forward to seeing all of you,

I would vote to postpone this event till around may, ofcourse my car is not finished yet so I may be a little bias.

Thank you Kevin!

I've been tracking the forecast on three different weather programs, hoping that at least one of them had good news for Sunday, but Mother Nature has other ideas.

I'm very sure you'll make the right call for all of us!

If you have not seen on IHRA we have rescheduled our Pro-am until the last weekend in June. I do not post alot anymore except for informational reasons. Our decision was made on several conditions. Yes, we could have tried Saturday to run the whole race but the temperatures show low temps in the low 40's. Not good to try to keep heat in the track without a season of racing on it. Sunday looks like a washout, nuff said. I put my racer hat on and asked myself would I spend the money and time to come out, can't justify it, don't like paying someone to make me feel bad and I live 30 mins from the track. I hope everyone will support our event in June, we are taking a $$$ hit but we have to deal with the weather, that's Gods plan.

Thanks,

Kevin Shipmon

I know it wasn't easy, Kevin, but I believe you made the right decision. I hope to be able to visit you in June for the re-scheduled race, if not before!
