NMRA/NMCA Racing Ends
https://www.nmcadigital.com/blog/pro...ion-of-mo/2792
Tough to hear and regrettably I bear as much responsibility as others for not supporting them, especially since they raced within 200 miles of me on their Rockingham visit. NHRA has to sharpen their pencil and come up with strategies to survive or suffer a similar fate.

NMCA had 603 competitors this year if you total up the number of names in points in each class. Most of these competitors only ran 1 or 2 races. NHRA has more entries than that on the ground in St Louis right now as I type. |

Re: NMRA/NMCA Racing Ends
Pure demographics, more are aging out than are being replaced. All racing venues are stressed by inflation, insurance costs, land values, etc. Ten years from now the racing scene will change dramatically and NHRA has to stay ahead of the game. Inserting a class occasionally or in the case of Mountain Motor Pro Stock just reviving an old one is not strategic, it?s knee jerk.

Re: NMRA/NMCA Racing Ends
The new Flying H Dragstrip in Missouri dropped NHRA, they make way more money with No Prep, and there street programs, and don't have to deal with NHRAs BS and DAs like Bill Tharpe who prbably has a Harris sign in his yard. The stands are full and plenty of young racers to support them. Scott Higs probably spent 100k or more bringing dirt in for the divisional, and I would bet NHRA could of cared less, HMMM wonder why he dropped them.

Re: NMRA/NMCA Racing Ends
I heard this also, and also heard, STL picked up the div 5 double for sometime in May. So there will be two doubles at STL next year in May and Oct.

Re: NMRA/NMCA Racing Ends
NMCA will be missed by many. The sport of drag racing needs an alternative to the NHRA program.
