project 68 SS/JA camaro
well I have had this car for some years and I have been waiting till I get the money "to do it right" well that's not happening! after reading billy's $1000 stocker project,it got me thinking, so I started a budget super stocker project. here is what I have so far.

I think what you have so far, is great, Fred. You've got the hard part done, acquiring the car. Update it as your budget allows and go out and have some fun with it. When was the last time it went down a track?
Good luck with your project and keep us posted on your progress. Take care. Danny Durham |

Re: project 68 SS/JA camaro
I love it! I saw the video on facebook, it sounds great. I love the "unpolished" appearance, gives the car an aggressive look

Re: project 68 SS/JA camaro
Fred…Looks like your ahead of the game with what your starting with. What rear suspension does it have? Was it an old Modified car or Super Stocker before? Being a 68 leaves the door open for some good combinations. Looking forward to following the build. Good Luck…MB.

Re: project 68 SS/JA camaro
gearhead55,i tried posting that video but no luck, and as far as when was the last time down the track? who knows I bought it from a kid who knew nothing about it other then it was an old super stocker, and I believe it was because it has the original frame rails moved in for big tires(who did that besides old super stocker racers with the original rail rule) im thinking 15 years ago as a bracket car and 20 years ago as a class car. I will try again with that video, its just a cell phone vid of the car running in my driveway.

Also looking forward to following the build up. These internet projects are great, especially during the winter months.
