Been trying to determine if the 1978 Gators held Class Runoffs for Stock. Who knows ?

Must be a young crowd here if no one knows.

No. Top 16 had to go over to Blount Pontiac and pull a piston and rod.
I remember that like yesterday :-(

Why the sad face, because you had to take it apart in tech? Any idea who may have a record of the top 16?

Not really...Part of the deal ...
I drove it in at 5 and drove it up on the truck at 10 pm. It was unusual to invite the top 16 to a piston party..It was generally more random than that. Just happened to be 15th.
I might have the clipping still. When I get to a holding pattern on the new one, I'll take a look.

Good question...
I remember two Cobra Jets. They had to use the lift to pull the pan.
We took the 283 right out and set it on the floor. Pulled a head and then stood it up on the flywheel and pulled a piston and rod. .030 over, cast GM of course.
