Long. It goes back and forth without the ad of an oxygen bottle. Oxygen bottles are for old geezers that can't breathe. The Long shifter requires driver manipulation. There's even a separate lever for reverse. It's pretty complicated but after some practice you'll get the hang of it!

Re: What Shifter do you run?
Jeff --for a manual trans a Long is a great shifter ya just need to make sure that you have heims on shifter rod ends- you have the nuetral adjustment pin set perfectly- no wear/slop in the shifter arms and that the sliders are not burred and it will shift like a dream---FED387

For autos...Turbo Action. I've had the same one in my car for roughly 25 years.

Re: What Shifter do you run?
I like my Hurst Quarter Stick. Has been in the car for years and 1000s of passes. Just have to replace the shifter cable once every 10 years or so. I've used the same shifter with forward pattern glides and reverse pattern 3 speeds with no issues.

The new stick guys stay young because they don't waste all of their energy.... They should try shifting with their right hand and left foot at the same time, every time....... Now that was what made me an old man... Bob PS: Now I run, when I run, a TurboAction Cheetah Shifter
