Distributor "phasing"?????
When "phasing" a MSD distributor do you have to replace the cap (pretty expensive proposition for this low buck racer LOL) that you drilled the hole in (i use the large 'Ford style" cap), or can you just plug the hole? If you can plug the hole, what do you use for the plug? I run a sb (350) Oldsmobile.

Re: Distributor "phasing"?????
You can fill it with clear silicone or get a small rubber plug for it. If you keep an eye on the moisture in the cap you don't really have to do anything about it. It will vent the ionized air from the cap and prevent arcing across the cap. Also you don't have to buy an MSD cap a Ford TFI type cap is the same thing just get one with brass terminals in it.
