This is the kind of thing that makes me not miss racing near as much. Drag racing was built on class racing and now its being pushed out because its easier to just run bracket races. Nascar forgot their roots and is paying a price for it now. NHRA is following suit.

The only plus I can see is the elimination of electronics in the cars. The driver might have to drive the car on his own. Almost unheard of.

Didn't I see that a few Stockers won in the Index classes at the Unleashed races last year. Any stocker who actually raced the Unleased Index classes care to comment?
If you could race both Stock and Index, would you campaign a two car team? No electronics and heads up may look inviting to some. |
