Apparently no announcement necessary, already full again.

Re: Gainesville
Jim Marshall called me when he saw the openings. I was halfway across town and before I could get home it was full again. Somebody knew ahead of time just not me. Mike McMahan 2543 H/SA

Re: Gainesville
Funny within two mins of it being open a few select shootout cars were first to enter. wonder if they had a heads up on what time it was opening?
Funny when I called Jennifer with NHRA on Monday she said under no circumstances would any of the classes opened and or raised. Good thing all the other racers with 3 grade points had other racers watching out for them. Why was the stk number raised from 70to 85 while SS is full and stuck at 65. If anything SS should have been raised to equal the stock number. I like the the shootout deal but this is BS for the rest for the racers.

Re: Gainesville
I also called California yesterday and talk to Jennifer. She told me that it was just for the shoot out cars that is the reason why they raised the quota. She also said your division director is the one who makes the quotas that's why super stock is at 65. It is obvious that they don't care for the little guy. I've been going to the Gators since 1979, either working on a car or driving a car in super stock I've only missed three races and 30 years. I live 2 hours from the track. I know the answer is you have to run more points races but due to owning my own company and other obligations sometimes things just don't work out. My short block is old,I got it from Terry Pierson he ran it back in the late 90s, my cylinder heads are old, there off of mike persons motor from the late 90's. I can run three under in good weather, one under in bad weather, the point is I go to meet my friends I haven't seen in years fellowshipping having a good time. Just think about all the guys that won't be racing in 10 years due to age, there are no young guys getting involved. Superstock is a dying breed. I'm not whining or complaining just a fact just my view.......J Slane

Re: Gainesville
And now it's 86. Did anyone notice that the Division website lists the SRAC rep but no contact info.
