Beth,

Thanx for the pics and updates... hope you guys have a ball, and do some winning while you're there (at the track AND the casinos). Go get 'em!! (And you're right about our flyboys, too, I've met a ton of them at airshows - I'm also a formation airshow pilot - and these guys are unbelievable, and the nicest group of totally focused professionals you could imagine. You would love Nicole "FIFI" Malachowski, she was the first female USAF Thunderbird pilot, she is a real hoot)

Wow, Marvin - I didn't know that! You will have to tell me some stories the next time we are hanging out!!!

Elims day is here. We are entered in both the bracket race and the Combo. We each got another run this morning and haven't seen a final qualifying sheet, but I doubt there were many changes, if any. Only about 12 or 14 showed up for the Combo run this morning. Not sure if people were sleeping in or just went home. I see Abe's rig is gone. We will see shortly how many went home. Time to go race!

Yes, I should have used the word flag instead of trigger.

Also, I don't think they actually review anything until there are two runs of 1.00 under or quicker.

We had a very bad oil down during the first round of the bracket race that has had us down for almost two hours. They thought they had it, sent the last pair from the bracket race down, and one of them got very squirrely in the affected lane. So we are down some more while they are getting the track right. No oil downs all weekend until now, but this one is a doozy!

Thanks for posting the winner/RU Joe - the rest of our day was a whirlwind!

We lost first round in the combo, but Alex had won the first round in Pro Et. On the way back to the pits from the Combo run, we noticed an issue with the shifter. So we quick put the car up on stands and fixed it, only to rush up for round 2 of the bracket race, and yep another oil down. We had a plane to catch, so we went back to the pits, put the car in the trailer, tore down camp and off to the airport. We didn't see any more of the race. Sorry I couldn't report more.....but we are back home and the snow is melting!

"Let's see, Keri Angeles went home early. Not sure if they planned to or not, but I believe I saw her getting towed back at one point, but she made a lap or two since then. Regardless, she is gone for now. And that bums me out - not many ladies here! Unless you get to count Maureen Ely as two ladies since she is on the sheet twice for some reason (#20 & #23, see below)."

I just got off the phone with John Angeles they did not break anything just made three runs and went home
