Paul,

As an alternate I would add the oft maligned 426S powered '64 Savoy, 4 speed with 4.10 Suregrip. While this combo might not make a great race car the literally ruled the streets in the part of Jersey that I lived in, besides it was much more streeable than the other combo's.

Perhaps you could make it "eight" with the '62 Savoy 413 Max Wedge cars

During my high school days in auto shop we often worked on teachers cars.......One of my friends and I got to drive a teachers new car.......1964 Plymouth Fury Convertible. 426 with a single 4 barrel I believe it was with a 4 speed.....black with a red interior....

That car was pretty fast and my friend just about spun it around on a "test drive".......he was a notorious nut behind the wheel and the teacher was a "cool guy" stud......gym teacher and coach......We blew the rear in a Valiant one day.........stick 6 couldn't take the "test drive"

I would make the '70 or '71 HemiCuda a convertible, 4 speed 410 Dana, in triple black, or a high impact color. The ragtop may be heavier, but it's a great retirement package.

My "Hemi " story.
In about March of 65 on a Friday night, I went to a down town Dodge dealer with the order form for a '65 Hemi Car. Ruth gave me the O.K.
I asked him for some 'help" , after showing him our record with our 59 Pontiac, he said 'sure' to my surprise, but come back Saturday morning & we would fill out the papers and sign a "deal"
When I got their about 8:30 am, the place was covered with cops.
"What happen I asked" to a cop.
He said the owned had shot himself last night, I said I had talked to him about 8:00 pm,
So they asked me a lot of ?'s..

We ended up buying a 65 Chevy Impala 283 4speed car two door hardtop.

Not a single one of those is a Plymouth!

I agree with most of the choices. But I would substitute one of the non-Hemi combos for a '70 AAR Cuda - 340 6-bbl.
