396/375 distributor issues
been working on my 396/375 hp nova ss...have some distributor issues .anybody local in orlando or florida that has a sun distributor machine or something similar to set my distributor....it is a stock delco distributor with a curve kit ...having trouble finding the right weights for the distributor and other issues.thanks for any help.Chris

Have no idea what you have but I have never had luck with weights in any thing! I have always been faster locked @ 36-40

thanks Daran,i agree,i never had any luck with the weights either...the car runs better with a lighter springs .but the intial is a 36 degrees and a WOT is near 55 degrees ,which ,obivious wont work...it currently has stock weights and 2 stiff springs/intial is at 24 and WOT timing at 42 degrees,runs great past 3000 rpm.but runs like sh..at idle and anything under 3000 rpm...

chris call tom at donahoes race engines he has a sun distributor machine his # is 321 727 1378 he,s in melbourne fl. hope thats help
