With a new man in power in Washington, the oil is flowing again.....not a bad thing. Long live the internal combustion engine!

Well, first an OE would have to submit one to get it into the guide.....

Hopefully Never. EV People need to play in a different park, far away from Stock & Super Stock and Comp too... JMHO.

Don't know if it would be legal, but a Tesla in Super Stock GT with a 632 would be pretty cool.

If it were a true GT car in super stock it would not be legal with a Chevrolet engine. GT does not allow crossing over engines from different manufacturers. IE. ford with a chevy engine. So unless they start a different class then we wont see them for a long time. I have heard that some racetracks are banning the EVs from running at their tracks.

Re: When will we see the first EV . . .
I understand cars need to be in the guide for Stock and regular Super Stock and the engine combo needs to be listed in a car in the guide for GT. But since they no longer use shipping weights for GT, does a GT body need to be in the guide? And I'm not advocating for a GT conversion of an EV.

The reason this will never happen is look at the shipping weights of EVs. Most of them would have to be 4000-6000 pounds. This does not hurt my feelings in any way.

Re: When will we see the first EV . . .
Well, for the most part, it was just a joke. A Chevy Bolt parked next to me and I noticed how aerodynamic it is. I thought maybe LS engine. The biggest problem I see is no hood scoop and no air through the grille. Maybe it could be used as a Modified car with a hoodscoop. I am in now way promoting them, but I think racing one would get the greenies up in arms!
