Chevy intake #3844467 and 7024122 carb ?
My understanding is this is off a 64 250 hp 327? I'm not a Chevy guy and this carb and intake was in the trunk of a car I recently bought and figured someone might have a use for it. I'm not one to trash parts from another brand just for the grin of it but I don't know if this is something that is worth saving or not. I'm about to make a run to the scrap yard and decided to take a closer look at this and don't want to throw something away that might be of value to someone. The number on the carb is off of a tag that's still on it. It's a Rochester '4 JET'. 4 JET is cast on the carb body. I know it's pretty old as I haven't heard that term mentioned in years. Been a member here for a good while now and well, this is my first post so I'll say hello now

Read the intake again probably a 338444 5 7 not a 6 ----if its a 33844457 manifold is 1964/65 283/327 with a WCFB carb--- the carb is 1964 FIRST STYLE Rochester carb fits 283/327 ---Comp 387

Re: Chevy intake #3844467 and 7024122 carb ?
I did type it wrong...it's a 457, not a 467. I wrote it on a piece of paper correctly but didn't type it correctly....and the second digit is an 8. That's clear as a bell. Actually, all the numbers are very clear except for the first which kinda looked like an 8 at first. If the second digit is supposed to be a 3, then it's cast wrong or some casting flash ended up there but it looks like a perfect 8. 3844457
