Default Ray Martino takes early points lead in TNT 10.90 Super Series

Grand Bend Motorplex held the opening event in the 2007 TNT (10.90) Super Series on June 2. The density altitude was hovering around 3500? all day with temperatures in the low 90?s. Ray Martino took the #1 qualifying position and then walked through the field to win his first ever TNT event!
It wasn?t easy for Ray. He had the face contenders like 2003 Summit Bracket World Champion Steve Doornbosch and multiple track champion Ted Barnes. In the final round, Ray had to face a regular in IHRA Hot Rod competition? Ken Hebert Jr. Ray took the win and a commanding lead in the TNT points chase.

The TNT Super Series presented by Joe?s Transmission is based on IHRA?s 10.90 Hot Rod class. The 6 race series pays round money for STARTING WITH FIRST ROUND WINS and has only two exceptions to the IHRA rulebook ? No weight minimum and left-hand drive open-bodied cars are allowed.
