It made my weekend
Got to spend some time with Doug McRobie's mom and dad at Norwalk last weekend and that sure was nice, rain or shine!
BB wish thay would have a Dong McRobie race of some sort. Maybe a shootout at Trails divisional????? |

Re: It made my weekend
Barney,
The idea of a Memorial Race is fantastic! Possibly putting something together where proceeds could go to Wyatt's college fund? If this were to happen, it would need to not interfere with any race that DRAW puts on, unless it could be combined with them to benefit all involved. The Sportsnational also might be an option (more time without the alcohol cars?) I would think that there are a lot of racers who knew Doug who might step up and make Donations of products to make this race a success! Steve Theodor has already said he would donate some racing oil if this race were to happen. I'm sure that there are others! Where to start? Does this idea need to be presented to Jay, or possibly Draw? I know that Draw had a precense immediately, so maybe this should run through them. If anyone has thought on how to make this happen, let's throw them out there. Once again, Barney, what a TERRIFIC idea! |

Re: It made my weekend
Thanks, but I don't have any idea how to get something like this started. I will do anything I can though to help it.
Your right, maby the Sports Nats would be better than the divisional. Any Div.3 reps on here that could help? BB lets make this happen!! |

Re: It made my weekend
Not a div rep but, they had something like that several years ago at Indy. Everyone chipped in $10. for a 4th time run after all was done for that day. Don't know what they came up with but the lanes were full. Think Lee (dough boy) helped out.

Bob,
I remember that deal at Indy several years ago. I believe it was to help a young boy or girl. The lanes were full. Great idea for a good cause. |
