Default Rear View Camera

My 2011 GMC 2500 HD pickup is equipped with a rear view camera. It works great and really helps when hooking up the trailer.
My question is...is it possible to re-program the camera so I can switch it on whenever I want, instead of only when I put the tranny in reverse. I'd like to check on the trailer while I'm towing.
I'm hoping someone who works for a GM dealer or is skilled at automotive programming to help me make this work.
I'd appreciate any help you may offer.
Thanks,

Pretty sure that a lockpick will do what you want. I don't have one but know a guy that loves his.
