Braided fuel line life
Has anyone found braided fuel line to break down and deteriorate inside over time? Good quality line such as from Earl's but has over 10 years on it.

Re: Braided fuel line life
The only braided line I'd trust for more than 4-5 years is the Teflon lined hose . ....It's impervious to almost anything, I have it for my main fuel line on my Willys for over 20 years.
All the rubber hose gets hard after 4-5 years and if you take a knife and scrape the inside it will flake off. .......Just what you want getting into your carb , or oil system. The lightweight cloth braided stuff goes away even quicker. Think about the hose ends as well .... fuel line fittings are some of the most used / removed of all fittings . the ends do wear out from constant use .
