Re: 1965 Impala BBC Stocker Update
To Alan Peters, Jr
Alan I remember going over to your house and seeing the 66 or 65 Impala you had in progress and showing me the gusseting you did and telling me about all those problems with big Chevies. I can't even remember if it was the 80's or 90's but it inspired me to build the 1968 Impala i had into a stocker. Thanks for the inspiration! Will Lamprecht - 65 Impala I/SA 396/325 in progress. |

Hey Will, isn't it fun cleaning greasy rusty old impala parts! Boy that sure looks familar! Keep posting picturesI love watching your progress I keep checking on a regular basis. When it's all finished (they never are) that is
going to be one badass 65 chevy stocker! You are doing a great job. Al jr. |

Re: 1965 Impala BBC Stocker Update
Thanks Alan. I have been busy building a 1964 Ford Falcon street car for a friend. I will be back on the Imp soon. I want to have car completed and painted in spring as a rolling chassis just waiting for engine and trans. Most of the parts are already clean and prepared. Here is a picture of my X-Mas tree w bunch of parts for Impala including Fuel Pump and filter, TH350 Tranny , shocks, master cylinder plus disc brakes for front, MSD 7AL ect.

Re: 1965 Impala BBC Stocker Update
Not much different. I painted door jams and installed. I will do finish body work and paint in Spring? Sometimes I paint car in pieces but I will be doing some graphics so will paint when complete.

Re: 1965 Impala BBC Stocker Update
Update. April 1 cover came off of Impala. Meanwhile I built a real workbench and organized my garage. One pic is with front fenders attached. Looks like real car! Only helb by few bolts so I can remove to finish front suspension, brakes ect. Trying to go "B*lls to Wall" with project so I can run this year. Will have rolling chassis complete and wired real soon. Back to bodywork paint. I will be picking up a better trunk too. Just looking for a passenger fender front extension plus rear trim under trunk. (high $ that part) Interior started too with headliner going in. I will be rebuilding the 306/325 HP engine I had in my green 68. That car went 11.71 with that motor and stick. Meanwhile I built a tribute Grumpy Camaro. Yea only a model, but I did build it.
