Thumbs up Class racers @ pri

Its that time again for racers to go smooz with the Big Wigs and drool over all the new tricks and toys for next year. If you are one of the seemingly dozens of discontented Stock / Super Stock racers that post here, make an effort and visit the NMCA crew at booth #1632.

2019 will be NMCA's third year supporting S/SS racers and offering an alternative place to race. Their Muscle Car Nationals (6 a year) are held at premier national event tracks around the country. The contingency program is good and growing, the environment and atmosphere is second to none, even having a "CUSTOMER SERVICE" banner that flies above the credential trailer. Believe me, they mean what they say.

Go by and meet the crew: Steve Wolcott, Rollie Miller and rest of the cast. They are genuinely interested in racers feedback. It will be time well spent.

Thumbs up Re: Class racers @ pri

I will make a point of stopping at the booth this year...it's on my PRI SHOW Planner. Considering the fact that every US based NHRA event is at least 6 hours from home, and my focus is on "fun in $$'s per towing mile", we will be paying close attention to alternatives.

Just a byproduct of our location and the horrible exchange rate.

The racers showed up but I am sure not to the satisfaction on NMCA they moved to where they could go to different tracks in that area. When they had NMCA west there were 3-4 events in Fontana a not so great track and 1 event in Vegas 1 year they had 1 event in Pomona. Having most events at the 1 track Fontana was not popular but it was always busy. It all came down to where they could get the best turnout for they money. So the westcoast has no Factory Showdown from NHRA or any NMCA

We are at the PRI show and there are lots of familiar faces here. Good amount of people here, just like last year. Got here early and it was kind of quite, but in a few hours the place was packed.

Not much info as far as Stock and Super Stock goes, NHRA is here. There was a Factory Stock Showdown Racer Meeting. I was not invited so I don't know what the plans are for the new season. All I know is there will be 8 races next season with more teams coming in.

The first few photos are kind if interesting. Gary Wolkowitz's COPO sporting a Magnuson Super Charger. Nothing in the guide yet about Magnuson. Also if you look at the Super Charger on the Cobra Jet, it looks to be a new designed Whipple with the intercooler on the top. There are lots of rumors about Chevy and Ford making changes for their Showdown cars, but I could not get anyone to confirm anything.
