Re: headers
Jere announced that he would stop making headers as of June 2011, a shame! JimR

Re: headers
I heard that Stahl is going to quit making custom headers. I heard off the shelf headers will still be available.

Re: headers
I sure like my Elston headers. They are not cheap but a definite performance gain over my Stahl headers.

Re: headers
Jere does not really build "shelf headers". Each set is custom built for a particular engine combination. Buying a set of Stahl headers requires as much information as ordering a torque converter from a good company like ATI. Jere Stahl has been a friend for several years, he loves data. Our Stahl headers were custom built, though they were built in a jig for the 1st generation Camaro. He even requires a port opening template, so he can match the header flanges correctly.

Re: headers
Al, you are absolutly right. Bruce Parson and I went through the same drill. Talked in length to Jere to get the right info. to manufacture the optimal header for our car. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. I'll bet Stahl has more dyno data for more engines than any other header manufacturer in the country.

Re: headers
Jere's work is legendary but if he has cut back I'd have to recommend Mark Lelchook's work. Give him a call and see for yourself....
