Re: A revolution in SHIFTING
Fred,
How much does it weigh? Could it be less than an air system and shifter?

Re: A revolution in SHIFTING
Has to be lighter than my Precision shifter, cable, shift box & air bottle.
'Course, that's all paid for. Have to ask Jeanie if I can have one. LOL!

Re: A revolution in SHIFTING
Ed,
I have a Comp car that needs to be lite. It has Precision shifter, cable, shift box & air bottle on it. I could move them to the Roadster. I'm still shifting my SS car. I feel I have more fun that way and gives my competition a little edge! :~) Humm! On second though that "Shift" would allow me to keep both hands on the wheel. Maybe it would be safer to use it in the Roadster. I do have experience with a Roadster driving a little eratic!! :~(

Re: A revolution in SHIFTING
This does look like a neat product and I wish you luck.
Now all someone needs to do is invent an SFI approved skirt that pivots on the driver's seat and around the driver's waste while his car automatically shifts all the way down track, cause we wouldn't want them to jeopardize their safety by doing something as hazardous as switching a gear shift lever 1 or 2 times. |

Pan depth makes no diffrence in mounting actuator. Meets NHRA/IHRA requirements. Controller is designed to bolt to Grant Style wheel, but 3x4x1" size allows it to fit much smaller wheels, even butterflies I have seen (may require bracket on butterfly?) Plus Dash, floor, console, roll bar mount. Entire system weighs less then 2.5lbs Eliminate conventional shifters? Lets hope so...There hasn't been a cable driven shifter on an OEM car in some years! |

I am not familiar with every different shield/blanket type, but here is an image of how it mounts to the trans pan. I am working on instruction sheets and video as well. |
