great site '68-'69 Etown & MG S/SS & more
A friend turned me to this site .
The GM 1 2 &3 links have some great photos from Englishtown and Maple Grove circa '68-'69. Lots of famous Jr Stockers and S/S cars http://racecarregistry.com/index.htm Just a couple ,Andy Panda, Hydrophobia ,and Chesrown Olds.[ with I think, George Cureton's Pontiac behind it]

I love this picture!
It just shows how little pit conditions have changed at some tracks! Those of us who had to pit in the mud at Etown years ago really appreciated the pavement when Vinnie put it down. Notice the complete lack of garbage cans in all the photos. ....Trash everywhere!

I love the pictures. I may have seen some of these cars in person. My first time at Englishtown was in the summer of 1970 for a mid-week Funny Car show. My father took me there after the National event at NY National Speedway was rained out the previous weekend. Does anyone recall a neon green gasser from that period? It's the only car I can still picture from that trip.
