How do you feel about the modified schedule at Gainesville?
Sportsman classes (except TA/) finishing on Saturday; with Sunday basically an-all-pro format. Remember, they were able to complete eliminations in 17(!) different classes.

It was due to the incoming rain, so personally i thought it was a great idea. worked great for those still in too.

As Mike said it was due to incoming weather and not the first time Rich has made such changes. I think it was the fall race at Charlotte last year he got it down to the finals for Sunday only. Rich has always been proactive in modifying the schedule when it looks like racers may have to spend a day watching it rain.

Do you think that having Saturday finals for the lower Sportsmen classes at all national events would be better than facing having to pay for another night's lodging and crew expenses if you reach the semi's?

Don't know many people paying crew expenses in Stock and Super Stock. Call me old fashioned but racing on Sunday is what we sign-up for.

I have been lucky enough to win 2 wally's, Sitting around on Sunday has it's down fall but coming down in front of that crowd and receiving that Wally was well worth anything sacrificed.

Re: How do you feel about the modified schedule at Gainesvil
I agree with Randy, although I've come up a little short a few times of being able to do that but when a situation arises like threatening weather on Sunday I think it's more advantageous to get the sportsman out of the way than make them sit through weather delays and possibly not be able to finish anyway.

Re: How do you feel about the modified schedule at Gainesvil
My first National event in Stock I was lucky enough to make it to the finals to lose. We finished on Monday morning due to weather. Thinking of that experience I would have much rather have finished on Sat. than Mon. morning.
