1965 Belvedere SS/BA - Real A990 Car
Since someone decided that posting 100% new information that was unknown when the original ad was posted 3 months ago constitutes "moving my post to the top," and then deleted said advertisement, I'm posting it again after my requisite slap on the wrist expired...
1965 Plymouth Belvedere SS/BA for sale: - Original A990 Car (VIN #: R051185655) - First original A990 in the 8's in NHRA-legal trim - Owned and Campaigned by Harry Holton Features: - 4 Link Coil Over Suspension - Ford 9" Rear End (5.43 gear set) - Lamb Shocks - Lamb Disc Brakes (Dual Caliper Rear) - Mark Williams Axles - Pro-Trans 727 Transmission (2: 1-2.57 low gear set, 1-2.45 low gear set) - 2 Converters - ATI and Dynamic - Turbo Action Shifter - Biondo Air Shifter Control - Auto Meter Gauges - Auto Meter Ultimate II Data Recording Tachometer - SuperFlow Fuel Pump - Kirkey Aluminum Racing Seats - Weld Racing Wheels Car carries 100+ lbs of excess ballast with a 235 lb driver to make the SS/BA minimum (3420 lbs) with cast-iron heads. Aluminum heads and a light driver would make for a good SS/AA car. I've requested paperwork on the car from Chrysler Historical. My own independent research has revealed the following former owners (more to follow hopefully): - Robin Pellisier - Dan Zeisset - Anatoli Polewik - Larry Wikoff - Jay Smith - John Wilson Car was originally sold by McMahon Motors in Rawlins, WY. I have the original window sticker. Car's original owner was a gentleman named Wayne Seymour of Casper, WY. VIN # R051185655 on the VIN plate affixed to the driver's side door jam. Fender tag and number stamped into the package tray match. Edit 5/29/10: found the core support stamping as well. Matches fender tag #'s and package tray stamping. Pictures available on request.
