As Jerry said, 1987. You could get either carb or injection on 87 models. I had an 87 Firebird stocker for while, with carb setup.

Is a 91 close enough to a 87 to run as one? Basic 82 -92 Camaro's are the same, found a good deal on a 1991 and would like to run it with a carb. thanks, Dyno

91 and 92 Z28 have the high spoiler but the RS had the low fin on it.

The high wing was 92 heritage package. They came with the reg spoiler buuuuutttt..................... the ground effects are way different and instrument panel is also different. I would not recommend trying to pass it for an 87. Just my opinion though. I actually have a 92 25th annv heritage pkg ttop car with factory leather seats. Also the 91-92 cars had optional acrylic t tops(mine does). Alot lighter than glass

87 ws also the final year of no ground effects on the base coupe. 88 and all Camaros had ground effects. If you want to run an 87 carbed combo on your ground effects equipped car it would have to be the base Z28. Also there were a couple styling changes.to the front fender efffects for the 91-92 models.
