Default NHRA Rescission letter rule posted today

So did everyone read the rule today?

I have heard for years that people keep letters and emails when they ask for a rule clarification, and if questioned, they provide a copy. It appears all those letters don't carry any weight any more?

I am just trying to understand what it means.

I heard about a letter that was presented to NHRA tech at Indy concerning an intake manifold that wasn't an "accepted" piece but with the letter it (the intake manifold) was allowed to be run. I'm reading it as that type of "letter".

Maybe some of this has to do with Danny Gracia writting a few letters, back in the day, authorizing the use of parts and for some reason the parts were not put on the accepted list. Maybe other NHRA employees have done the same. The rest of the statement looks like a recap of long standing rules.
