Rory broke a main shaft. Not the input shaft. Jerico may have input shafts? Chrysler 18 spline is popular as well as big Ford, small Ford... I did not need one when I talked them.

Thats exactly where it broke. All was fine in 1rst & 2nd, went for 3rd, bang, and no more foreward action. Still had 1rst and 2nd, so I was able to drive it back to the pits. Supposedly one of the upgrades Jerico made to the 4-4 was to make the mainshaft larger in that area.

Talking with Rory this weekend we know of far more people running DR4's that will need parts at some point than DR4-4's. I can't think that running a batch of mainshafts for stock would be a huge investment for Jerico to keep their customers existing transmissions going.

I purchased a new DR4-4 last year. I looked at GForce but in my car it would have required some serious work to get the shifter back far enough. The Jerico is on the very last holes on the extension housing but is perfect. I did send my Long shifter to have stops added and converted to a pistol grip.

Maybe if enough people contact Jerico they will rethink the decision to drop support of the DR4?
Hundreds of thousands of dollars to make replacement main shafts that they already have designed and just need to do a production run on? We have a lot of CNC machine tools at my work and I can tell you $100,000 goes a long way when it comes to CNC machining. In addition, we regularly make one off replacement parts for out of date machinery that we built all the way back to the 70's, it's called 'customer service'.

Jerico still has some DR4 input shafts, 26 spline(Chev app), as well as
the Billet retainer(Chev 90mm), this is the sleeve that the
release bearing rides on.
I dealt with Catherine, great to work with, as well as Scott!!!!

Jerico is still sticking to the no new parts for an old transmission philosophy of f how to run a business or how to abandon you customers! The list of people needing main shafts seems to be growing. I found an article from 2008 with Jerry Hemmingson telling how easy it is to make a main shaft with his the new machine. Kind of ironic now!

I have a friend that has an older jerico dr4 transmission for sale, it is
complete with a long shifter. I think he wants 1600 or 1700 for the whole thing. If any one is interested let me know and i will hook you up with him.

I just found this article from 2017 about the new ownership group Winchester Capital and although geared towards circle track racing if you read down it talks about parts need to be available quicker.
