Congrats on your record John. That is a super clean (and fast) Camaro you have there !

I agree with your statement about the Div. 3 tech guys.
I thought they were very thorough in their inspections.
But then again, this was my first time in teardown.

I learned quite a bit this past weekend about the record setting side of class racing.
I wish I had had more time to meet more people from this site @ Beech Bend, but Sat. was a full day for me.

I want to thank Marty Buth because without him there, there is no way I could have got thru teardown. He knows that T-Bird inside and out and showed me the easiest way on how to tear the " little 4 " down and put it back together.

He is a great guy and a first class racer !

Thanks Marty !

A Mustang II with a 302 2V and a four speed, apparently. Evidently someone told Gary it could never be made to run.

John, it was a lot of fun watching you this weekend. That car is impressive. Congratulations on the record.

That Bowling Green race has been on that weekend for decades, it's sort of a tradition. I have no idea what possessed the Division 2 people to schedule Atlanta on that weekend. Must be the same reason they moved the Bristol national event to June, in the heat and horrific air, and on top of the traditional Hot Rod Reunion weekend, again at Bowling Green. Bristol should be back in April, or May at the latest.

The truth is, Atlanta LODRS should be on a different weekend, and Bristol should get an LODRS in the fall. Bristol is a much nicer track, and if they didn't schedule it against something else in the fall, Bristol would be swamped with entries, with nice weather and beautiful scenery around a great facility.

While they're at it, they need to put Reynolds back on the 3rd weekend in October. If for no other reason than the fruit stand is closed on the 2nd weekend, and that was one of the great things about Reynolds for years.

What exactly does 'all of the older Fords' mean? Everyone complains about dumping at 1000' and when a few people choose to let it rip, you're still not happy. There are a bunch of these out of the ordinary combinations in the guide, maybe you should have a little respect for the guys that are willing to stick their necks out to attempt to make them work. Choosing to build a one off combo doesn't guarantee that it will work. I happen to race a one off combo and it has taken me years to get it to work so I can admire the skill that it takes. Show a little respect. So how about telling us about your accomplishments?
