Is Vegas going to be the last Div7 track?

It absolutely puzzles me why the Bakersfield question cannot be resolved. It is arguably the most conveniently located track in California for all concerned other than the extremes. Is it the Bowsers? Is it NHRA? Is it all just the result of pure greed with nobody willing to share the pot and expenses. This track has the potential to draw 900 cars and you can't tell me that SOMEBODY can't make money hosting this event. I get the fact that the Bowsers make their bones on the March Meet and a few rice rocket races....and now they have discovered $300 test sessions as a way to keep the doors open.....good on them....but unfortunate for the Sportsman class racer But am I crazy or is there not a bucket of cash to be made at this track under the auspices of the NHRA?

I’m with you Mark. Give us a good reason we can’t have one or a double there? Book in some Jet cars or exhibition fuel cars to sell seats. The car numbers would be off the charts. Makes no sense! Crossed fingers we get a Sonoma race.

We have a decent Division 7 track in Western Colorado, WCDRA, and you would not have to pull over the hill to Denver. Could it hold a points meets?
Probably not; with out a lot of support from racers, I dont think it would ever be possible.
