Late model engines come from the factory with not only aluminum radiators but roller lifters. They may not be faster but they sure don't chew up camshafts. Therefore, all of us should be allowed roller lifters. That would not only save parts but could keep oil off the track when a cam fails and takes out the valvetrain and possibly the entire engine. That would also be a safety consideration.
I get sick of the safety issue getting thrown at everything. I'm sure it's worn thin with NHRA also.

Yea, I think it would have to be factory to be allowed. Just like the e-shift that beard pointed out, except that I think that you should only be allowed to run that if you use the factory computer.

Also, I dont really see it as an advantage, you just have to know how to get it cool quick. I have no problem hotlapping our car at local bracket races, and I dont even have an electric water pump.

Cool Re: Aluminium Radiator

Here is just one more thing I have to say about this...... I have already spoke to Mr. collins about this and he said he would bring it up at the next rule's meeting. Just thought I would see your guy's idea............. And I think that JIMMY WAIBEL know's how to build a car just as good as mr. Shaw thank you.................. Just thought we should ask for it because Iam sure that there are people that already have them in their car Just painted black........I just dont want to cheat ...........
