Default Central California travel question

Need some help/input from my central California friends.....

My daughter's college team is riding against Fresno State the 1st weekend in February.

Starting to look at airfare.... for 150.00 (300. for 2 of us....) less i can get a San Jose rd trip over in and out of Fresno.
Google maps shows 160 miles/ 3 hour drive. I don't mind driving, just curious as to conditions that time of year, or is it a bad drive to begin with? Anyone with input?

appreciate the help,

Unk

San Jose is not a bad drive scenic to say the least what about Sacramento less traffic. I go up that way quite a bit Fresno Airport is very expensive.

Thanks guys!

Just checked, drive time pretty close to same, airfare MUCH cheaper than SJ or Fresno.... Never woulda guessed Sac be a viable option... go figure.

Appreciate the feedback.

Sacramento....less traffic around the airport, right on I-5. Easier in and out of the airport.

It's a nice drive from Sacramento. Just be prepared for fog. It can get bad at times.
