Wheel Spacers

I was mocking up our new double beadlock wheels today. I ran into an issue of the rebound adjuster knob hitting the beadlock bolt heads. These are AFCO double adjustable shocks mounted in the factory locations. I have clearance if I remove the knob but wish to have it on.

I'm debating on using Baer Brakes wheel spacers .250 thick. I'm not big on using spacers. Plus, I'm running 5/8" studs & would have to drill the stud holes to the proper dia.

Anybody have any ideas or different solutions to this issue?

Billet spacers, plenty of them at Summit.

The Baer Brakes spacers were billet also.

Below is what Billet Specialties states about their spacer.

"Installation may require longer wheel studs. Fits wheel sizes 15 x 3.5 through 15 x10 in. Not for use with 5/8 in. race-type studs."

Can't you run those shocks upside down? Would that give you the clearance you need?

The shocks are mounted in the original factory locations. The link shows the shocks I'm using & the configuration.

The shocks in that link you provided are front shocks for a gen one Camaro

The shocks in the link have been mounted on the rear for many years. The AFCO catalog list them for the rear on 1970-1981 Camaro, our car is a 1980. I called them 1st before ordering. I also checked our shock boxes & they have that part # also.

We received the TBM wheel spacers today, 2 pairs. My mistake when I placed the order!

I might return the other set & get a pair of .125 thick. I have to take some measurements to see if the thinner ones will work.

The spacers solve the problem of the shock adjustment shaft hitting on the beadlock ring bolt heads. I still don't have the room to run the adjuster knob on the shafts.
