Milodon Chevy II pan vs. Schumann pump
I just realized tonight that the new Schumann oil pump I plan on using has a 3/4" inlet instead of the standard 5/8" like my old M55. Now I can't find a 3/4" pickup to work with my pan. Milodon makes some, but it doesn't look like they'll work with the 31060 pan. Anyone have an idea? I'm thinking maybe I could get a bushing machined to fit over the 5/8" pickup and weld it on...

Not about this, but I sent him the video your dad posted with Duane racing Bick at TVD! Very cool.

Re: Milodon Chevy II pan vs. Schumann pump
I had Stef's Oil Pan weld a 3/4 pick up and screen on my different oil pan
than yours, but I would think they could fix you up. You will like the pump. Phone for Stef's 732 367 8700 Good Luck Larry |

Re: Milodon Chevy II pan vs. Schumann pump
My dads Chevy II has the same oil pan as you have . I used a big block pump with a kit that bolts on where the bottom plate of the pump would normally be . it has a screen on the bottom that acts as the pick up . I really like this set up because there is no pick up to fall off . The big block pump is only for strength as I've had small block pumps break at the neck in the past . I think I have pics I could text you if you have any interest in this set up.

Re: Milodon Chevy II pan vs. Schumann pump
Thanks guys for the suggestions. Billy, I saw those and it looks like a great idea, but I think I would lose the improved bypass on the Schumann. I ordered a pickup from Canton and will have to modify it for the deeper pan. I'll take some pics of whatever I come up with and post them here.
