Thumbs up Super effort by ATCO and D1

I don't always find reason to pat a track opperator or NHRA on the back, but Joe Sway and his crew ,and Bob Langs D1 crew deserve one for managing to pull off this weekend's Lucas race at Atco........I've been to Atco when the pollen was bad before, but this weekend was like nothing I've ever seen in my life!................The track crew put in an amazing effort ,and all things considered , the track was really good most of the weekend! .....Now if we can just get Don Higgens to write a program for Crew Chief to factor pollen!!!............Tom

I agree 100% with Tom's post.....

No one does a better job then Joe Sway and Bob Lang and his group.

The track cleanup started at first light every day...I could hear the machine before I rolled out of my bed!

The tree pollen almost stopped the race, would have been a first for me!......Joe told us about how he learned to deal with it and the track was great......Thanks Joe and Bob for a great weekend of hot fun.....

I must say bravo to Joe and Bob for doing a great job in getting the track in great shape all weekend. I must say after the Top Dragster Crash on Saturday night that without a doubt Super Gas would be bumped to Sunday Morning due to the clean-up but, it was a cleaned up very fast and we were back to racing in little over an hour. Then Sunday morning came and I was in the lanes for Super Street only to see Jackson Road covered in GREEN!! It almost looked like we were in some kind of chemical warfare but, the Atco crew and the D-1 crew worked hard dragging the track and got the race in when a lot of us thought we'd be racing on Monday.

Outstanding work by all. That's why Atco is our #1 track in Div. 1.Anyone who's never raced there has to make the trip. It's like the Mecca of drag racing. And the new lady at the
entry booth is exceptional. You get a welcome,a smile and the feeling your welcomed there. It used to be a bit less with the previous staff members. But that's another story.

I'll tell ya what.. this was the first time in my life that I experienced a pollen storm.. it was a little un-nerving to look around and only see clouds of greenish yellow covering everything in sight.. but a great job by Sway & Company along with the D1 guys to keep the race going..

And yes Tom.. someone needs to come up with "The Pollen Factor".. I tried, but I came up .002 too fast.. LOL.. good race by the way, Tom..

Your right Ed...I rolled up to the gate at 11PM thursday night.....and the staff couldn't have been nicer....and the two guys parking me gave me a choice of what two areas I could park in. Good for business....Makes you wanna come back again. Thanks Atco.
