Question Third Gen. Camaro Rear Suspension

I have an 86 Camaro that is being built for stock elim. I have been trying to search for information on rear springs for these cars. The car originally had a V6; are these rear springs alright to use, or are there aftermarket springs with different rates that will greatly improve performance? I have found some options for rear shocks and was wondering what brand and type (single or double adj.) racers with this type of car are using.

Also, I plan on running the stock sway bar for now, until I find a source of money to be able to buy a proper racing sway bar or the S&W anti-roll bar. Are there any suggested modifications I should make to the stock setup to allow for launch adjustments if needed?

FYI, I do have the S&W torque arm.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Jeremy

Default Re: Third Gen. Camaro Rear Suspension

We just used the stock rear springs and swaybar I don't think there is any difference betwee 6or8 rear springs. We are just using the cheaper adjustable shocks right now but I am planing to upgrade to something externaly adjustable. ...Thanx Trevor
