No trans brake allowed, foot brake or two-step. You need suspension work. Loosen up front and cal-trac's on the rear.

My wagon was a stocker, it's now in bracket trim using a 350 sbc w/glide and brake. I suggest you learn to footbrake because if the track isn't in great shape all the time all it takes is a little spin and loose .03 or so in the sixty foot and that's not counting how it will effect your light. You'll be heading to the tailer in short fashion. I'm making 450 plus hp with my small roller motor and 5:12 gears and it hooks great at DFW area tracks footbraking. On the brake I add a couple hundred pounds and lower the rpm release to slow it down to the 7.30's and there is still no guarantee that it will hook but it looks real mean coming off the line. I wish I could afford a Jerico setup and put the 283 back in it. PS: It will only get more incosistant as the weather gets warmer. Good luck.

Why run with a 9" tire with 600 hp? Stockers do it cuz they have to.

Good luck, I hope it works for you. I know I'm amazed at what the A stockers with big blocks do with a 9" tire, but I think some are pulling back timing on launch, and have very good suspension setups and weight transfer/weight placement.
