Default Re: Dedenbear Lightning Plus Delay Box

I went back and looked at my box and im curious, why wont the SLE work with STOP A still being utilized for TS and STOP B for shift? Since the SLE's cycle is completed at Transbreak termination.

Are you using the same inline throttle stop as your SLE and your throttle stop? That's the only way you can use the same delay box output to perform 2 functions.

That's actually what I do on my dragster, but it's mechanically injected and the car goes to dead idle on the throttle stop. There are other people doing it, but it's not a traditional setup.

I don't see how you could use a single delay box output to perform both functions, in that case.

Generally speaking, the SLE will be set to hold the engine at idle or near it. Throttle stop RPM is usually going to be 3700-4700 RPM.

That STOPA output is either ON or OFF. How do the connected devices know which function is being commanded at what time?

Yes I use a digital delay 2 stage timer.
I used it years ago with a separate delay box before I got the Dedenbear Lightning Plus. Glad I hung on to it.

If you're giving it a little RPM for more transmission pump pressure, you can adjust the length of the SLC so that even when it goes limp it will give you just a fuzz more RPM when your foot is to the floor.
Nothing different that i know of other than it just doesn't like it.
I probably need to mess with it some more.
I wonder if the break is not engaging fast enough and its just used to my slow foot LOL
or as you say I may need a little more pump pressure (a few more RPM) in the stage position.
