I don't know about that, but the last few years, the Edelbrock website STILL says the Oldsmobile Edelbrock Head is LEGAL for Stock, yet NHRA says it isn't.

Talk about FALSE advertising!!!!

I figured the Eddy heads to be legal for S/S,but cannot find them listed in the NHRA guides. The Edelbrock flyer is for 2012 new products,so maybe there will be something from NHRA.They(Eddy) also have small block and Magnum heads listed as NHRA legal.

The Mopar knock off is legal for the Big Block ss heads only I think. It has a straight plug head and the Eddy is angled. Mopar is asking for stock also, but so far to no avail. I don't know anything about the Magnum head, Mopar has two, and one is legal for Stock in the new cars, and both are legal for SS. I really don't know about the Edlebrock branded head being legal. The Mopar's need new heads. Most are 40 years old now.

Jeff I agree with you on all of this. The Edelbrock head listed in the flyer I quoted has straight plugs.I'm thinking this is the same head that Edelbrock makes for MP also and they are marketing it themsleves as well for the S/S classes.

A. Cylinder Heads, Aluminum
Head casting number 452 is complete with valves and springs (2.14" intake and
1.81" exhaust). Flow is 290 cfm intake and 217 cfm exhaust at .600" lift. These
ready-to-bolt-on Heads use a straight plug design so you can use stock exhaust
manifolds or many popular aftermarket headers. 361 and 440 Engines
1 P5153524 Cylinder Head, Aluminum, Includes Valves and Springs,
Straight Plug, 84cc, 2.14" Intake / 1.81" Exhaust, "B/RB"
Engines

Anyone understand why MP made this head? It has the 452 casting number on the runner, then has oversized valves? Why didn't they make one with stock size valves? It would be easier to make it legal with stock size valves.
