We are doing a short bed S10 with a 6.0L for bracket racing
and are doing the final assembly on the rear end.

The Super 10 is built with a Chassis Engineering four-link kit #3513. You can go to the Chassis Engineering website, under "instructions" the kit is installed per those instructions at the ride height/axle height per the instructions.

The instructions also include a chart showing instant center for all possible locations. Tomorrow I will post a photo showing were the Super 10 links are located.

Note; it has a 32 x 14 tire.

Hacksaw, how much weight was added to the rear of the truck?
I have seen some set up for bracket racing with a couple hundred pounds added. I just hate the thought of adding weight to a race car.

I had 90 lbs inside the rear crossmember, 30 on the inside pass framerail ahead of the rear wheel and 3 10 lb flat bars above the rear. Two 16 v batts at right rear corner.

In ref to the thoughts about weight bias. The height of the cab is a big factor in weight transfer because the center of gravity is higher than a car body. Plus, the driver sits higher than in a car.

Now that we have a 408 SBC w/aluminum heads of 700 horse the Super 10 leaves the line with a wheelie that is way up there. I have a video of the tail lights reflection off the track surface.

With each outing, I am making small adjustments to keep it under control.

I may have missed it , but curious on how much weight you had to add.
Ours is not going to have that much power for the first few years.
Probably only around 500 to start but we want it to be as consistent as possible in the first 60'.

We didn't add any weight to my son's 97. 59/41 front to back. Added about 80 in the bed and didn't make any difference so we took it back out. Our 4 link is close to your setup, Larry. Yours is a little farther out and lower than his. When we put the 31" tire on, I'll have to reset everything and should ended very close to yours, then. Thanks for your responses.

How much power are you making and what kind of 60' times?
We have two cars with ladder bars that run in the mid tens to low 11's.
so this 4 link deal is all new to us.
Also wondering how muck preload people are running with these trucks with 4 links? Larry what are your thoughts?

Like is posted above, I experimented with weight in the rear but it did not change the chassis action for any detectable amount so I removed it all.

In the rear of the bed is a K & R air compressor, 5 gal cell that usually has 3.5 gals, and a 16-volt battery.
