Default Tieing down the front end on a strut car

Hello all.
I am trying to figure out the best way to limit the travel on my strut front end.
I have been told to use a cable, but just not quite sure how to or where to attatch
everything.

Any body got any pictures of how their's is done?
Or even possible a diagram I can follow.

Thanks in advance
Cal

You should not have to tie a short travel strut car down for any reason. ...cables are near impossible to make equal, and the car becomes a weapon if one limiter breaks.

If you are after reaction time , you might actually loose reaction due to the car driving out instead of up.
If its wheelstanding you are trying to cure , tighten the rebound on the strut ,or add some balast to the front end.
Use the suspension adjustments to your advantage .
Tieing the front was a poor crutch used when chassis tech and shocks/ struts were not as good as they now are.

Thanks Tom

I am actully trying to get the car to hit a 400 pro tree.
Curently The best the car will hit on a 400 tree is 430s(or I can hit) .

And as we all know in todays SG that may win a few rounds but it most likely won't win the finals.

I was also told by a good chassie guy " I can make it hit the 400 tree for you" but you'll never bracket race the car again. And I still like to bracket race at the local track when I can.

I mostly run S/ST HR so I guess I'll just leave it alone.

Thanks Again
Cal

what size front tire are you running ?
Just changing from a 25" to a 23" tire could be a substantial reduction in reaction time.
launch rpm also is an area to look at ,I dont know your combination, but that could be an area to look at.
You can also raise the front spring platform ,raising the front of the car 1/2" -3/4' . this dosent sound like much , but you are in effect limiting the travel and at the same time raising the center of gravity of the car.
If you are removing ballast to run SG , try leaving some in . as long as you dont need to take it out to run the number.
PM me if you want to talk about other options.

Had a friend that did the tie down front, as stated it's hard to get them even, on the first run one stretched so when he came down the right wheel hit first and the whole car made a hard right turn into the guard rail.
