No Problem @ No Problem
Went down to Belle Rose La. for the Sportsman Nationals, found the people down there to be unbelievably friendly. I tried food that I didnt know existed. Everywhere I went in the pits friday nite there was food, good music & nice people.
The track was dead hook all weekend. The cookout on sat nite was overwhelming. The bartenders had heavy hands and all was well. The only downside was getting beat in the 3rd rd of each race ,The Bayou Race saturday & The Nats on sunday, by a combined .010 by the eventual winner Trevor Land who was on kill all weekend. He had the balls to go .001/10.902 & .007/10.900 obviously leaving me a ton of room to get in. Good Job. Chris D. one of our moderators wins partier of the race award, nuff said.

I proudly accept that award seeing as that was the only thing I accomplished that weekend. I also need to agree with Gary, AWESOME RACE with AWESOME PEOPLE! That southern hospitality is like none around. Thank you D4 and see you next year.

Gary and Chris, I didn't get to met ya'll but I might have been rubbing elbows with ya'll at the crawfish boil.I know it's a long haul but it is a good race. Pat will go out of his way to help out in any situation. The Laris , Teuton and Garrison families are best.
Greg p.s. I would like to know how much was Ross's bar tab for the weekend. |

Re: No Problem @ No Problem
Ditto from me!! Thanks to all for the great hospitality! Kevin,Congrats on your win!!!
Great time and track did hook good! 60' varied no more than .007 the whole weekend! Weekly points racers even have the option of "buying" a pit spot for the season with FULL RV HOOKUPS!! Crawfish "bowl" (that's how it's pronounced down there) was awesome!!! Everyone was trying to show us rookies how to eat them - "Drip" (SST racer, sorry can't remember your real name) even went so far as to peel them for me. Think I would have starved if not for him!! Aside from all the other entertainment, I'm sure watching us trying to eat crawfish was entertainment in itself!!! Pat even came around Sunday after racing to see if we needed anything, told us where RV facilities were, and had a beer with us. He also told us about the pond at end of track where there is at least 1 alligator. Needless to say, Monday morning Al Kenny, Tom, and myself went on a golf cart safari (needed quick getaway in case of gators or snakes). Alas, as with most golf cart safaris, we didn't find anything even with Al calling the gators. His call sounded like injured prey with a Canadian twang. Don't think the gators knew what it was and were afeered!! Jason O., I'm sounding like you with my novella!!! Anyway, will definitely try to go again next year!!!
