Re: 1966 corvette stocker
Here is a link to the album of the car. ( It was about thirty some pages back when I went to look)
http://classracer.com/classforum/album.php?albumid=406 If I had the time for a stocker, that would be the combo I would pursue. That is just a beautiful car. Good luck with the sale. |

Re: 1966 corvette stocker
Thanks Dick,
Actually, I wanted to talk to Lynn in regards to the rear end conversation on his Vette. I have a 66 and am trying to get info on how to go to a straight axle as was in his 67. |

Re: 1966 corvette stocker
Sorry, didnt mean to interrupt... I ran a 67 when we had to run a transverse rear spring(still have a new short spring in the garage). After we built the only weak link on mine was front to rear distance hadnt been made enough to run next bigger tire diameter. Good Luck. I would be interested in what is legal again in Stock for this rear end. We ran SS/EA right after the solid rear end was made legal.

Re: 1966 corvette stocker
Find contact info for Alf Wiebe, I do not have his new info but he makes a kit with killer trailing arms. If you would like to see them email me at L88BOB@aol.com and I will send pictures. The arms will not bend !

No need to apologize, you didn't know any differently. I plan on running my car in stock class, but want to have a good plan on how to make the conversion before i start dismantling the rear end. There just aren't many mid year Vettes racing and finding kits or parts is tough. Thanks anyway. |
